Jumble word solver

A jumble word solver only keeps words that use every letter you type. Unjumble newspaper Daily Jumble, Text Twist and other scrambled-word puzzles — not a full Scrabble rack.

Worked example: type LISTEN. The anagrams that use all six letters are silent, listen, enlist, tinsel, inlets and elints. Shorter leftovers such as isle or tile belong on the word unscrambler, not here.

Use ? if a letter is unknown.

Unscramble a jumble

Classic jumble puzzles give you a scrambled word and want the exact rearrangement. This page opens in anagram mode so you are not buried in ninety shorter subset words. Paste the mix, press Find words, and read the ENABLE full-length hits. Circled-letter captions use the same box a second time with only the leftovers.

Teachers, quiz hosts and newspaper solvers land here for the same reason: one clean list, no account, letters staying on the device. The wood-and-felt panel is the product; the prose below is here so humans and crawlers both understand what the tool does.

Worked ENABLE jumbles

LISTEN in anagram mode returns the six-style family SILENT, ENLIST, INLETS, TINSEL, ELINTS, LISTEN — not the long subset list. Crawlable version: /unscramble/listen.

ORCHESTRA → CARTHORSE among other full anagrams. A favourite demo because the scramble looks orchestral until the cart-horse appears.

AEINRST → RETAINS / STAINER / STEARIN territory. Reference: /unscramble/aeinrst.

EAGLE, AIRBAG, PALLET — short practice racks with HTML companions under /unscramble/eagle, /unscramble/airbag and /unscramble/pallet.

Circled letters and multi-word clues

Solve each scrambled word first. Write down the circled letters in order. Paste only those letters back into this jumble solver to unlock the cartoon caption. If a token has no exact anagram, check spelling or open the letter unscrambler for shorter leftovers that reveal a mistype.

Older bookmark paths such as word scrambler and multiple-word unscrambler now redirect here so the site does not keep three thin copies of the same job. Build a scramble on paper or in a spreadsheet; solve it here.

Jumble versus Text Twist versus anagrams

Jumble and this page want exact full-length answers. Text Twist players often need subsets too — use All words mode or that page’s guidance. The anagram solver is the same engine with anagram-first copy for searchers who never say “jumble”.

Dictionary and ads

ENABLE only — not a copyrighted tournament book. Ads, when shown, sit after the tool panel, never over the letter box.

From scramble to caption

A standard newspaper jumble prints four scrambled words and a cartoon. Solve the four with this page. Transfer each circled letter into a fifth anagram. That fifth paste is still just letters — no need for a separate “multiple word” micro-site, which is why those overlapping URLs now redirect here.

If one of the four returns empty, the typesetter may have used a proper noun outside ENABLE. Try the subset unscrambler for clues, or check a paper dictionary for house-style answers.

Practice racks worth repeating

LISTEN, ORCHESTRA, AEINRST, EAGLE, AIRBAG, PALLET, SCRABBLE — each appears in our intentional example URLs under /unscramble. Practise those until the anagram reflex feels boring; boredom means fluency.

What we removed on purpose

Thin doorway duplicates that only restated this job under different slugs hurt AdSense readiness and confused crawlers. Consolidation into this jumble solver keeps one strong page. Intentional 404s remain for older doorway experiments that deserved to die rather than redirect.

FAQ

Why does this page hide shorter words?

Jumble and most newspaper anagrams require every letter. The full word unscrambler lists subsets as well.

What if the clue has a circled-letter bonus word?

Solve each scrambled word first. Then type only the circled letters into this same box.

Is LISTEN a good test?

Yes. LISTEN in anagram mode should return the full anagrams, not the subset flood.

Where did the word scrambler page go?

It redirects here. Create scrambles offline; solve them with this jumble solver.

Where did the multiple-word unscrambler go?

It redirects here. Solve one word at a time, then the circled leftovers.
