Privacy policy

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, email hdkdistributionltd@gmail.com and we will delete it. Parents and guardians in the UK and EEA who want stricter controls should use device-level restrictions and reject optional cookies on the consent bar.

What we collect

The unscrambler runs in your browser. The letters you type are not sent to us. We do not run accounts, newsletters or login.

Our host (Cloudflare) may process technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and requested URL to deliver and secure the site. Those logs are processed as a service provider.

Cookies, Consent Mode and ads

Essential cookies: none required to use the unscrambler. Optional analytics: if you click Accept on the cookie bar, we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-VR1EE3K51N). That can include a truncated IP, device/browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location. Legal basis: consent. You can Reject, and you can clear site data in your browser to be asked again.

We use Google Consent Mode defaults that keep analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied until you choose otherwise. The on-site cookie bar only updates analytics consent (wu_consent in local storage). It does not grant advertising consent.

Google AdSense (publisher ca-pub-2666058844257008) may show display ads after Google approve the site. For visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, advertising consent is handled through Google Funding Choices / AdSense Privacy & messaging (Google’s certified CMP). Personalised ads stay off until that CMP records agreement. We do not invent or hard-code CMP message IDs on this page — those are configured inside the AdSense Privacy & messaging UI. Ads never cover the letter box, Best play card or the word list; they appear after the tool panel only.

Legal bases

Hosting and security logs: legitimate interests in running a safe website. Analytics: consent via the on-site cookie bar. Ads and ad personalisation: consent via Google Funding Choices / AdSense Privacy & messaging for UK/EEA/CH traffic, once Google approve the site.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, and you may complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Because we do not hold accounts, there is usually no personal profile to delete.
